Professional Experience

 

Michelle S.K. Oishi was born and raised in Waipahu, Hawaii.  She graduated from Waipahu High School, Occidental College, and the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. After graduating from Law School, Ms. Oishi served as a law clerk for the Honorable Greg Nakamura, Circuit Court Judge of the Third Circuit.  Before forming her own law practice, Ms. Oishi worked as an associate for David Bernstein and Okura & Associates, specializing in Estate Planning, Probates, and Real Estate Transactions.

 

Ms. Oishi is licensed to practice before all courts in the State of Hawaii and the United States District Court in the District of Hawaii.  Ms. Oishi is also a notary public.  She is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association and the American Bar Association, Treasurer of Hawaii County Bar Association, and Vice President of the Big Island Estate Planning Council.

Recognition

 

Michelle graduated summa cum laude from the William S. Richardson School of Law, and was the co-editor-in-chief of the University of Hawai'i Law Review. While in law school, Michelle 

received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for having the highest grade in Wills & Trusts.
