Aliiolani Hale
Completed in 1874, Aliiolani Hale originally housed the Hawaiian Kingdom's legislative and judicial branches. In 1893, the legislature moved to Iolani Palace, leaving the judiciary as the building's primary tenant. Today, Aliiolani Hale houses the Supreme Court of Hawaii, the Supreme Court Law Library, and the Judicial History Center.
United States District Court
The newly renovated courthouse of the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawaii is part of the Prince Kuhio federal campus in downtown Honolulu. Prior to the construction of the Prince Kuhio complex in the late 1970s, the federal court convened in the structure now known as the King Kalakaua building, near the downtown Honolulu post office.
