Professional Experience

 

Rachel F. Hu was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from Hawaii Baptist Academy, Dallas Baptist University, and the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. After graduating from law school, Rachel served as a law clerk for the Honorable Gary W.B. Chang, Circuit Court Judge of the First Circuit, and as an associate attorney in a civil litigation firm.

While clerking for Judge Chang, Rachel participated in various civil jury trials involving complex civil and commercial matters. As a practicing attorney, she has represented numerous clients in the areas of construction law, employment litigation, and business consulting. Rachel has a particular interest in human resources and employment law. She enjoys working with employers and consulting on best business practices.

Rachel is licensed to practice before all courts in the State of Hawaii and the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii.

While in law school, Rachel received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award, an honor awarded to the person with the highest grade in her class.
